The Federation of Nepali Journalists Parsa branch has formally requested former chairperson Anup Tiwari to submit institutional documents, including meeting minutes, within three days.

Branch President Omprakash Khanal handed over the letter stating that previous decisions and official records are essential to systematically proceed with the membership verification and purification process.

According to the letter signed by branch secretary Vijay Kumar Mahato, the branch has taken serious note of the demands raised by the Membership Purification Struggle Committee led by Tiwari himself. The letter mentions that memberships distributed during Tiwari’s tenure have also come under scrutiny, making it necessary to verify the procedures, decisions, and basis used at that time.

The federation stated that the previous executive committee has yet to hand over district committee meeting minutes and other institutional records to the current executive body.

As per the letter, the current executive committee’s first meeting held on Poush 3, 2081 BS assigned branch treasurer and former treasurer Sanjeev Kumar Mishra the responsibility to submit complete financial and property details within 30 days. However, even after 518 days, the required details have reportedly not been submitted.

The branch claims that despite repeated requests, there has been reluctance in handing over the documents, causing difficulties in the regular functioning of the organization due to the lack of institutional records and decisions. The letter further warns that if all related documents are not submitted within three days, the branch will proceed according to its rules and regulations.

Copies of the letter were also sent to the Federation of Nepali Journalists Central Office and the Federation of Nepali Journalists Madhesh Province Office. Earlier, a struggle committee led by Anup Tiwari had submitted a memorandum to President Khanal demanding membership purification and distribution of new memberships.
