Kathmandu, March 21 — The weather across Nepal has begun to improve as the rain-bearing system active since Friday has weakened, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
Meteorologist Bibhuti Pokharel stated that heavy rainfall like that seen on Friday and Saturday morning is unlikely to continue, and conditions are gradually improving. However, pre-monsoon activity will persist, with partial cloud cover expected on Sunday.
Currently, light rainfall is occurring in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Madhesh provinces, which is expected to gradually decrease.
According to meteorologists, alternating sunshine and cloud cover will continue due to pre-monsoon patterns, but the likelihood of prolonged or intense rainfall remains low.
In the past 24 hours, Palpa recorded the highest rainfall at 75.8 mm, followed by Rupandehi with 75.2 mm, Morang with 63.8 mm, Dhankuta with 63.2 mm, and Kapilvastu with 59.6 mm.
