Kathmandu, March 21 — Nepal Police’s Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested five individuals, including one Indian national, in two separate incidents.
According to police spokesperson Durgaraj Regmi, 38-year-old Kalpana Tamang was arrested from Lalitpur with 2.3 kilograms of charas along with a digital weighing scale.
In another operation, three individuals were arrested from Karkhana Chowk in Kathmandu Metropolitan City–15 with 37 grams and 400 milligrams of brown heroin.
During the investigation, 25-year-old Vipul Verma from Bihar, India, who was involved in supplying the drugs, was also taken into custody.
Police stated that further investigation into the cases is ongoing.
