Police in Parsa have detained three individuals along with a Bolero vehicle carrying 10 buffalo calves from Sakhuwa Prasauni Rural Municipality–6, Laxhanpur Chowk.
An operation team deployed from Pokhariya Area Police Office under the command of Police Inspector Pradeep Paudel intercepted the vehicle at around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday while it was traveling from west to east. During inspection, police found 10 buffalo calves being transported without proper bills or documentation.
According to police, the driver Bijay Sharma was detained along with Bikrama Raut Kurmi and Hoda Dewan.
The seized buffalo calves, the Bolero vehicle, and the three detainees have been handed over to Birgunj Customs Office for further legal proceedings.
Police said further investigation into the case is ongoing
