Mumbai – Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan’s much-awaited film ‘Bhoot Bangla’ has had its release date changed.
Originally scheduled for April 10, the film will now hit theaters on April 16. Producer Ekta Kapoor announced the update via social media.
According to her, paid preview shows will begin from 9 PM on April 16 (Thursday). The decision was made after a mutual agreement between producers, distributors, and exhibitors.
The primary reason behind the delay is said to be the strong box office performance of the currently running film ‘Dhurandhar 2’, prompting a strategic shift in release timing.
‘Bhoot Bangla’ marks the return of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s collaboration after nearly 14 years, generating significant buzz among audiences. The film belongs to the horror-comedy genre.
Alongside Akshay Kumar, the film features Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani in key roles.
Their previous collaborations such as ‘Hera Pheri’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, and ‘Garam Masala’ were major hits, raising expectations for this upcoming film.
